Editorial policy

How listings and rankings work

Alphabetical by default, sources visible, commercial influence separated.

This is the rulebook behind provider order, price sorting, and editorial independence.

Effective 2026-07-27

Default order

Provider profiles appear alphabetically by default. Alphabetical order is not a recommendation, score, or quality judgment.

Optional price order

A visitor may sort by a published starting price. That sort uses the public headline amount only and is labeled as incomplete because medication, dose, visits, labs, insurance, commitment, and promotions can change total cost.

Who qualifies for a profile

We look for a public care pathway, a state-availability basis, transparent pricing or a clear statement that price varies, identifiable medical-service terms, and official source links. Gaps are shown rather than filled with assumptions.

What payment cannot buy

A provider cannot buy a better position, evidence badge, status, correction outcome, or removal of a factual caveat.

Sponsored material

There are no sponsored provider positions at launch. If sponsorship is added later, it will be visually separated and labeled before the click; it will not alter the independent comparison cards.

Regulatory status

Compound status is generated from the cited regulatory dataset. Commercial relationships never change a status code, confidence label, source, or re-verification flag.
